Erpe-Mere auctions photo boards of Lucien Van Impe after large public festival: "Proceeds go to a good cause"

The municipality of Erpe-Mere is auctioning photo boards celebrating cycling hero Lucien Van Impe, with proceeds benefiting charity organizations. The event, held on July 18, marked the 50th anniversary of Van Impe's Tour de France victory, featuring a bike ride, parade, and performances. The boards, showcasing key moments from his career, will be auctioned instead of destroyed, allowing residents to own a unique memento while supporting a good cause. Bidding runs from November 2 to December 16, with viewing available from December 7 to 13 at the library foyer.
