Esbjerg continues with handball coach Jesper Jensen, who is leaving Fradi
The Danish club announced a three-year contract with the 48-year-old coach, replacing Tomas Axnér, who will focus solely on the Swedish women's national team. Jensen previously led Esbjerg from 2017 to 2024, winning four league titles and a Champions League bronze. He emphasized the new project’s focus on establishing a strong position in European competition, contrasting with his earlier role in securing a place in the domestic league. Jensen recently left his position at Népliget for family reasons and took over as head coach of FTC in October 2025, following Allan Heine's departure for similar reasons. Under his leadership, the team finished second in the league, third in the Hungarian Cup, and reached the Champions League quarter-finals last season.
