School uses 1.6 million to combine technology with tradition

The Centro Tecnológico Especializado (CTE) in Vila Pouca de Aguiar represents a €1.6 million investment aimed at enhancing professional courses with advanced technology. The school offers programs in cooking, health assistance, industrial maintenance, firefighting, and restaurant/bar services, serving around 120 students. Funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, the CTE focuses on integrating robotics and artificial intelligence with local products. Director Paulo Pimenta emphasized the importance of valuing local ingredients in culinary training. Demonstrations of dishes were held, showcasing recipes from a school archive. Approximately 20% of students continue to higher education, with guaranteed employment in hospitality and other sectors.
