Timorese writer Luís Cardoso stands out at the Escritaria Festival

He expressed surprise at receiving this recognition. The festival's themes include memory, identity, freedom, and resistance related to East Timor. Cardoso, who moved to Portugal in 1975, actively represented the Timorese cause after the Indonesian invasion.
