Car tax exemption, the hypothesis of expanding the beneficiaries emerges: the possible beneficiaries

The Italian government is considering expanding the exemption from car tax to include all first cars, regardless of power. This proposal aims to support families and the middle class, as discussed in a recent government meeting. Currently, the exemption applies only to vehicles with a power limit of 80 kW for 2027. The intention is to make this measure permanent beyond 2027, with discussions ongoing in the Finance Committee. Amendments have been proposed to broaden eligibility, including a contribution for families with more than three children.
