EU leaders, speakers, ministers – the guest list for the October 23 celebrations is starting to take shape
European leaders, including Ursula von der Leyen, have accepted invitations to Hungary's October 23 celebrations, marking the 70th anniversary of the 1956 revolution. While many high-ranking officials are expected, some notable absences include French President Emmanuel Macron. The Hungarian Prime Minister, Péter Magyar, has extended invitations to numerous leaders, emphasizing the significance of the event. Various European countries have confirmed attendance, including representatives from Moldova, Serbia, and Norway. However, some leaders, such as the Finnish and Lithuanian Prime Ministers, have declined due to prior commitments. The guest list remains unofficial as the Hungarian government has not released it yet.
