EU und Kanada erzielen Einigung über kritische Mineralien und LNG
The EU and Canada have reached an agreement to enhance European investments in Canadian critical minerals, part of a broader deal to boost resource and energy trade. Following high-level talks in Montreal, the EU confirmed negotiations aimed at facilitating investments in key Canadian resources, particularly critical raw materials, through the European Investment Bank. Additionally, a long-term feasibility study will be conducted on exporting Canadian liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Europe, despite Canada lacking the necessary infrastructure for liquefaction and export from its East Coast.
