US certifies new Boeing aircraft after three years of delay
The FAA has approved the Boeing 737 MAX 10 for passenger transport, ending a three-year delay. This certification allows Boeing to begin deliveries to airlines, both domestically and internationally. The 737 MAX 10 can carry 185 to 210 passengers, offering airlines the potential to reduce costs per seat. Boeing's president highlighted this as a significant milestone for the company and the aviation industry. The aircraft was first introduced in 2017, but faced numerous technical and regulatory challenges. Boeing expects to start deliveries in 2027, with over 1,555 units already ordered by more than 30 customers worldwide.
