"Ewenement". Why did Tusk choose her?
Agnieszka Bartol has been nominated by Prime Minister Donald Tusk as the new Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, succeeding Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. Bartol, an expert in EU relations and the first female Permanent Representative of Poland to the EU, is seen as a politically neutral choice. Her extensive experience includes roles in the European Council and as a state secretary in the Prime Minister's office. The nomination is viewed as a strategic move to avoid political factionalism, focusing on technical expertise to address upcoming challenges, including the new EU financial perspective and the closure of the KPO fund. Previously, Elżbieta Bieńkowska was considered for the position.
