Exams: Fenprof says that rankings stigmatize schools

The National Federation of Teachers (Fenprof) criticized the recently released school rankings, claiming they stigmatize schools and undermine teachers' work. They argue that these rankings reflect inequalities stemming from national exams that prioritize competition over cooperation and healthy learning. Fenprof noted that only four public schools made it into the top 50, with the highest ranked at 38th. They assert that the rankings reinforce ideological biases favoring private education and neglect the challenges faced by socioeconomically disadvantaged students. The federation calls for increased investment in public education to address educational inequalities, especially those linked to students' socioeconomic status.
