This Mercedes shows that it's not the "size" that matters
Mercedes-Benz is shifting its strategy for high-performance models by replacing four-cylinder engines with six-cylinder ones. The GLC 43 and GLC 63 S E Performance will be succeeded by the GLC Coupé 53, featuring a three-liter inline-six engine. This change reflects customer preferences for more powerful and traditional engine sounds. The C-Class will also see a similar transition, with the C 53 set to replace the four-cylinder C 43 and C 63 S E Performance, while V8 engines may return by 2027. The GLC Coupé maintains its distinctive design, combining SUV and coupe elements, but with a more understated appearance compared to previous AMG models.
