F1: Italian Kimi Antonelli wins the United States Grand Prix and gets a little closer to the world title
Kimi Antonelli is two points away from his first world title after winning the US Grand Prix in Austin. The 20-year-old Mercedes driver secured his ninth victory of the season, finishing ahead of Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen. Antonelli's successful single-stop strategy allowed him to maintain his lead from pole position. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth, while Lando Norris dropped to fifth due to tire issues. The battle for second place in the championship remains tight, with only nine points separating Russell, Hamilton, Verstappen, and Leclerc. The race saw Isack Hadjar struggle with a mechanical issue, finishing sixth, while Oscar Piastri took seventh. The top ten was rounded out by Liam Lawson and Pierre Gasly, with Esteban Ocon finishing 14th after a strong start.
