Macau Medical School will support students' Portuguese learning to work in Portugal
The University of Macau's new medical school will offer Portuguese language courses to help students practice in Portugal. The program, in collaboration with the University of Lisbon, is nearing accreditation and is set to open in August 2028. The school aims to accommodate 4,000 students and prioritize local candidates to address Macau's healthcare needs. Graduates will receive a diploma recognized in Portugal, and the program will include clinical training partnerships with local hospitals. Additionally, an international master's program is being developed to enhance the transfer of biomedical research into clinical practice.
