Lack of resources in social associations of Funchal

Associations in Funchal supporting mental health, addiction, and social inclusion face significant resource limitations, relying heavily on public funding. Leaders from these organizations highlighted the urgent need for more support, as many individuals remain without assistance. The I Encontro do Associativismo do Social e da Saúde aimed to foster collaboration among 18 associations to enhance social responses. Participants emphasized the challenges of limited human resources while striving to meet the growing demand for help in their communities. The event was organized by the Funchal City Council to strengthen social interventions.
