Youth federation wants to improve literacy about the EU

The new leadership of the National Federation of European Studies (FNEE) aims to enhance youth literacy about the European Union (EU) across Portugal. President Daniel Novais emphasized the importance of combating misinformation and expanding a project initially conducted with high school students in Coimbra, Lisbon, and Évora. The initiative is based on a study titled "EU4YOU – You Matter in Europe – Listening to Youth," which explores young people's perceptions of the EU. Novais, who is 23 and holds a degree in International Relations, highlighted the federation's commitment to fostering informed discussions among students about EU-related topics and broader international issues. The new mandate marks a significant phase for FNEE, focusing on various scientific areas related to European studies, including international relations and political science.
