Federal Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein, overseeing Nicolás Maduro's trial, has passed away at 92. His replacement for the June trial is yet to be determined. Hellerstein had a notable career, handling significant cases including those related to 9/11 and Harvey Weinstein. He was appointed by Bill Clinton in 1998 and served nearly 30 years in the Southern District of New York. Known for his courage and impartiality, he was respected in the legal community.
