A report was filed against Márton Nagy due to his ministerial travels by the Ministry of Finance
The Hungarian Ministry of Finance has filed a report regarding former Minister of National Economy, Márton Nagy, concerning his official travels. The report alleges mismanagement, budget fraud, and acceptance of bribes related to his trips and temporary foreign delegations. The potential damage caused by Nagy could exceed 100 million HUF. Between 2023 and 2026, he traveled to 51 cities in 32 countries, with accommodation costs totaling 51.9 million HUF. A specific trip to Belgium raised concerns, as it involved a rented plane costing 12.5 million HUF for a trip that could have been made by car. Additionally, Nagy stayed at the same luxury hotel three times within six months without a clear official reason for his visits.
