I would exempt general practitioners suffering from serious illnesses or pregnant from the upcoming on-call duty
The Hungarian government plans to amend the mandatory on-call system for general practitioners, which was established four years ago. This follows a recent court ruling in favor of a doctor who challenged the system, although he passed away shortly before the case concluded. The previous system, criticized by many, required doctors to contract with the National Ambulance Service, leading to legal disputes and threats of penalties against those who refused. The court found that the government unlawfully altered the doctor's operating license to enforce mandatory on-call duties. Proposed changes include exemptions for parents of young children and those with disabilities, as well as an increase in hourly pay to attract younger doctors.
