The Ukrainian civil defense system has been hacked, and people received false nuclear alerts

The Ukrainian civil defense siren system was hacked, triggering false nuclear alerts across the country. Citizens received warnings about nuclear and chemical attacks, as well as street fighting. The Air Alert app, developed by a Ukrainian ministry and Ajax Systems, was compromised. One alert stated, "Nuclear alert across Ukraine! Don't worry, Oresnyik is on the way." The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the hack and assured there was no radiation threat, urging calm and advising citizens to follow updates on their Telegram channel. The false alerts were removed about an hour later, and the State Emergency Service announced that the alert system was functioning normally again, advising citizens to stay informed.
