Fictitious invoices from PZPN? The tax office notified the prosecutor's office

The head of the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław filed a notification to the prosecutor's office regarding potential VAT fraud involving the Polish Football Association (PZPN) and Publicon Sport. The notification, sent to the Szczecin branch of the Organized Crime and Corruption Department, alleges that PZPN used false invoices from Publicon Sport, leading to a VAT tax loss of over 40.6 million PLN. The prosecutor indicated that the investigation will determine the number of potential offenders. Publicon Sport had a contract with PZPN since August 2022, receiving a monthly fee and commissions from sponsors. Additionally, a separate investigation into PZPN for possible mismanagement and financial harm exceeding 4 million PLN is ongoing.
