Fiocruz articulates research to understand health conditions and social reality of Brazilians in Portugal

Fiocruz is initiating a research project to map the living conditions of Brazilians in Portugal, aiming for accurate demographic data. President Mário Moreira discussed the project with the National School of Public Health at NOVA University in Lisbon, emphasizing the Brazilian government's interest in understanding the community's situation. The study will utilize administrative data from Portuguese government sources, although it won't be a census. The research will involve collaboration with the Casa do Brasil and social movements to ensure comprehensive insights. The Lisbon office of Fiocruz, established this year, aims to enhance international cooperation in health and technology.
