Flick: "We have lacked freshness"

Hansi Flick expressed disappointment after Barcelona's loss to Real Madrid, citing fatigue and defensive errors as key issues. He emphasized the need for recovery and improvement, acknowledging the impact of recent travel on player performance. Despite the defeat, Flick reassured that it was the team's first loss in ten matches and urged for focus on upcoming games. He also addressed injury concerns in defense and justified the use of Frenkie de Jong in a more advanced role during the match.
