School bomb threats continue, 30 institutions in Borsod and one in Budapest were threatened
On Wednesday, nearly 30 schools in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County and one in Budapest received bomb threats, as reported by the National Investigation Bureau (NNI). The threats were sent via email to a news portal and directly to a Budapest school's inbox. Police are following protocol by visiting the affected institutions and coordinating necessary actions with school leaders. No explosives were found during inspections. Earlier in the week, over seventy schools faced similar threats, prompting an investigation by the NNI for potential terrorism. Local mayors reported on the incidents, highlighting that primary and secondary schools were targeted, with one mayor sharing the threatening message online.
