Air Force strengthens Atlantic Constellation with the launch of two more satellites

The Portuguese Air Force has enhanced the "Atlantic Constellation" by launching two new satellites, CA-03 and CA-04, to improve national territory and Atlantic space monitoring. These satellites were launched via SpaceX's Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral, Florida. This initiative is part of a collaboration with Spain, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Program, aiming to develop a satellite constellation for Earth observation. The goal is to achieve satellite imagery every 30 minutes. With these additions, the constellation now includes four SAR-type satellites, crucial for monitoring national land and maritime areas. The Air Force plans to launch more satellites next year and is also developing a space launch base in the Azores.
