Saudi forces claim to have intercepted two drones in the Riyadh region
Saudi-led coalition forces reported intercepting and destroying two drones in the Riyadh region. The coalition's spokesperson, Turki al-Malki, confirmed the interception without mentioning the Houthi rebels. In response, Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sarea claimed attacks on Saudi airports and military installations, asserting successful operations that disrupted air traffic. The conflict has escalated since mid-July, with increased hostilities between Houthi rebels and the internationally recognized government forces. The Houthis also reported casualties from a Saudi attack on a market in Taiz, condemning it as a war crime. They emphasized that such attacks would not hinder their efforts to stabilize the economy and meet public needs.
