Former UK paratrooper Karl Bushby ends 28-year trek across jungles and frozen sea
Karl Bushby, a former British paratrooper, completed his 28-year journey around the world, returning to Hull after swimming across the English Channel. His trek covered 50,000 kilometers across four continents without using any transport. Bushby began his adventure in 1998 from South America, adhering to two rules: no transport and no returning until completion. He faced numerous challenges, including imprisonment and border issues, but remained determined. Upon his return, he was welcomed by a large crowd and expressed gratitude for the support he received. Bushby is also the subject of a documentary by Werner Herzog, titled "Walk of Life."
