Unreleased photos and manuscript by Gustav Klimt revealed
A Klimt Foundation in Vienna has acquired previously unknown historical photographs of Austrian painter Gustav Klimt, along with an unpublished manuscript. This exceptional donation from a private collection includes works from Klimt's early career, providing insights into his creative processes and partially destroyed artworks. Notable items include decorative paintings from 1883-1891 and a photograph of the Esterházy Theater auditorium with Klimt's handwritten technical notes. The foundation plans to present findings from a detailed analysis of these documents at an international symposium next year. Established in 2013, the Klimt Foundation aims to preserve and promote Klimt's artistic legacy.
