Francisco Barreto finishes Baja do Qatar off-road in second place

Portuguese driver Francisco Barreto finished second in the Qatar Baja off-road race, navigating with Paulo Fiúza. The event was won by Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah, who completed the race in 5:12:54.1 hours, 29:08.7 minutes ahead of Barreto. Despite finishing the last selective sector in tenth place, Barreto maintained his second position overall, finishing 9:28.8 minutes ahead of third-placed Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari. Al-Attiyah was the fastest in the final stage, followed by Khalifa Al-Attiyah and Mitchel van den Brink. Among other Portuguese competitors, navigator Hugo Magalhães finished sixth, while Fernando Álvarez and Xavier Panseri won the SSV category, finishing eighth overall.
