France braces for 'Act 2' of protests, Paris closes metros and museums
French student organizations, unions, and the 'Yellow Vests' are organizing nationwide protests against poor education and high living costs. Paris has implemented strict measures due to recent violence during demonstrations, including closing metro stations and major museums. The planned march from Bastille to Nation was prohibited, leading to confusion among protesters. Many still intend to gather at the original location despite police restrictions. Other cities like Marseille and Lyon have also imposed bans on demonstrations. President Macron blamed extreme left movements for the unrest and announced a ban on illegal protests, but discussions with student groups did not yield results.
