Tax fraud. Mário Ferreira knows the court decision
Businessman Mário Ferreira, owner of Mystic Invest, faces a court decision regarding tax fraud linked to the sale of the ship Atlântida. The ship was bought for €8.75 million and sold for €11 million to a Maltese company, which later sold it for €17 million. The prosecution claims Ferreira failed to declare a profit of €3.7 million, resulting in an illegitimate tax advantage of around €1 million. The prosecution requested Ferreira's conviction and that of his companies, Mystic Cruises and Valens Private Equity, for qualified tax fraud. Ferreira denies any wrongdoing, stating it concerns a potential tax delay that has been settled. The verdict will be announced today at 1:45 PM in Porto.
