Frente Comum calls for a strike on November 20

The Frente Comum has called for a national strike of public administration unions on November 20, opposing budget cuts and demanding better working conditions. Union leader Sebastião Santana emphasized the need to negotiate the Common Demands Proposal for 2027 and criticized the government's budget as harmful to public services. The strike is strategically timed before the parliamentary vote on the state budget scheduled for November 24. Santana stated that negotiations are essential to avoid the strike, highlighting the government's reluctance to engage with union representatives.
