According to László Gajdos, the clearing of the reeds in Balatonberény cannot go without consequences.
Gajdos László condemned the destruction of a protected reed area in Balatonberény, emphasizing the need for accountability. A machine operator cleared about 1,000 square meters of a Natura 2000 site, causing severe ecological damage. Following a public report, the Balaton-felvidéki National Park Directorate took immediate action, discovering the operator lacked the necessary permits. An investigation has been initiated by the relevant authorities, with Gajdos stressing that environmental destruction must have consequences.
