"Broken wings and gunshot wounds": 68 wild ducks abused and illegally dumped in the Kapellen region
Sixty-eight wild ducks found in Kapellen-Brasschaat were abused and illegally dumped, suffering from gunshot wounds and broken bones. The local wildlife rescue center reported that the ducks were discovered on October 6, but details emerged only after medical examinations were completed. Three ducks were taken for further investigation, revealing multiple injuries and the presence of lead pellets in their bodies. Authorities have been notified, emphasizing that wild ducks are protected species and that hunting regulations must be strictly followed. Illegal dumping and animal abuse are prohibited.
