Genkenaar (40) handed over to the Netherlands: suspected of serious assault in Maastricht
A 40-year-old man from Genk has been extradited to the Netherlands for suspected severe assault in Maastricht. The incident occurred on July 4, when two men attempted to steal a watch from another pair. After the theft failed, one suspect returned and struck a victim in the face with a street brick, resulting in the loss of eight teeth, a broken jaw, and a torn palate. The suspect was arrested by Belgian police last week and is now facing a Dutch judge who will determine his detention status.
