Getty Images files for bankruptcy and prepares to withdraw from the New York Stock Exchange

Getty Images has filed for bankruptcy as part of a debt restructuring plan, aiming to exit the New York Stock Exchange. The company seeks formal approval from the Delaware federal bankruptcy court for its plan, which includes a $533 million investment from the Getty family and Koch Equity Development. Creditors holding 83.5% of the bonds have agreed to erase $270 million of debt, while the company will continue operations with up to $143 million in financing. This restructuring follows the abandonment of a merger with Shutterstock due to regulatory conditions.
