Ghana’s colonial ghosts and objects find new life at the Fondation Cartier
Ibrahim Mahama leads the exhibition "Le Temps des récoltes," featuring seven artists and two collectives, including international contributors. The exhibition, held at Fondation Cartier, showcases Mahama's work across three floors, with a focus on installations and textile creations. Notably, the installation "Parliament of Ghosts" highlights the historical significance of Ashanti stools taken during colonization. The exhibition does not aim to represent the entirety of contemporary Ghanaian art, omitting notable artists like El Anatsui and Amoako Boafo.
