Gli autotrasportatori in Messico proclamano uno sciopero nazionale a oltranza
Mexican trucking organizations have announced an indefinite national strike starting October 26, citing road insecurity, extortion, and rising operational costs. The strike was declared by Augusto Ramos Melo, president of the National Chamber of Freight Transport (Canacar), alongside other industry associations. They demand concrete responses from authorities after insufficient meetings. Among their grievances is a proposed change in the 2027 economic package that lowers the annual revenue threshold for a tax incentive on toll expenses from 300 to 250 million pesos. The associations seek to extend this benefit to all sector businesses, with estimates suggesting around one million vehicles may participate in the protest.
