GNR intercepts logistics of fast drug boats
The GNR apprehended a person and seized two Kalashnikov rifles, nine vehicles, a boat, and approximately 10,000 liters of fuel intended for fast boats linked to drug trafficking during operations along the coast from Esposende to the Algarve. The operations took place over two nights, resulting in the arrest of a 41-year-old man, the indictment of a 35-year-old, and the interception of a 15-year-old minor. The seized items included two marine engines and 420 jerrycans of fuel, disrupting a logistical operation before the boat could escape by sea. Additionally, various mobile phones and equipment related to navigation and narcotics support structures were confiscated.
