Golegã awaits response from IHRU for accessible housing
The Câmara da Golegã plans to build 52 affordable housing units but is awaiting an agreement with the IHRU to proceed. Mayor António Camilo expressed the need for a coherent understanding to advance the project, which is currently stalled. The municipality seeks clarification from the IHRU on how the construction will be managed, as previous attempts to contact IHRU officials have gone unanswered. The project, estimated at 8 million euros, includes various apartment types and aims to prioritize local residents in housing allocation, although this depends on IHRU regulations. Camilo emphasized the preference for IHRU to manage the project directly rather than transferring responsibilities to the municipality.
