Government announces support of up to 80% for the purchase of electric cars for the most disadvantaged

The government announced support for the purchase of over 20,000 electric vehicles for low-income individuals, covering up to 80% of costs. Maria da Graça Carvalho, the Minister of Environment and Energy, revealed this initiative during a parliamentary debate on the 2027 State Budget. Additionally, general incentives for electric vehicle purchases will continue, with a budget of 50 million euros.
