Government approves 22 million euros for long-range air defense radar
The Portuguese government has authorized the Air Force to acquire a long-range mobile radar system for up to 22.2 million euros to enhance national air defense capabilities. This investment aims to improve surveillance and threat identification in national airspace and strengthen Portugal's participation in NATO's integrated air and missile defense system. Additionally, the government approved a resolution to reprogram financial commitments for the renovation of the Armed Forces Hospital kitchen in Lisbon, extending the financial execution until 2026 without increasing the total amount approved in 2019.
