British government announces 11.6 billion euros in additional support for Ukraine

The UK government announced an additional £10 billion (approximately €11.6 billion) in economic and military support for Ukraine. This commitment was revealed by Finance Minister John Healey during the Budget presentation, following a call with Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The package includes £500 million for urgent military needs, £7 billion for economic support over three years, and £3 billion for British companies investing in Ukraine. Healey also plans to increase defense spending to 3% of GDP by 2030 and reaffirmed NATO commitments. A working group for innovative defense financing will be established, and negotiations for a multilateral defense mechanism with Finland, Poland, and the Netherlands will begin.
