Israeli government declares total blockade on the West Bank

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a "total blockade" of the West Bank following an armed attack that injured five people. The blockade includes immediate restrictions in Hebron and throughout the West Bank. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for the dismantling of the Palestinian Authority, warning of potential future conflicts. The Israeli army reported killing two Palestinians after the attack. Since the Hamas attack on October 7, violence has escalated in the West Bank, with over 1,113 Palestinians reported killed, primarily by Israeli soldiers, and 49 Israelis killed during the same period.
