Government strengthens support for farmers by 15 million euros

The government will continue to support farmers facing rising fuel prices with an additional 15 million euros. This funding will cover diesel consumption for July and August, with payments made in October. The exceptional support of 10 cents per liter for marked diesel will remain in effect until the end of the year. The costs will be covered by the Ministry of Finance's centralized budget. Additionally, the Autonomous Regions will receive extra support, including 1.25 million euros for the Azores and 250,000 euros for Madeira. Minister José Manuel Fernandes emphasized the government's commitment to assist farmers during these challenging times.
