Large raging fire in 'Eagle's Nest', Hitler's former teahouse
A significant fire broke out at the Kehlsteinhaus, also known as the Eagle's Nest, prompting a response from over two hundred firefighters and emergency services. The building was already engulfed in flames when they arrived. German police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire and have detained a suspect, although the motive remains undisclosed. The Kehlsteinhaus, built in 1938 by Adolf Hitler as a retreat, served as a meeting place for Nazi leaders and is now recognized as a historical monument after being taken over by the Bavarian government post-war.
