Suspects were interrogated in the investigation of the media company in Győr

The police have interrogated two individuals as suspects in the case of the defunct Győr Plusz Média company, according to the city's mayor, Bence Pintér. The investigation focuses on embezzlement causing significant financial loss. Pintér reported that the investigation has moved from the detection phase to the examination phase, which precedes the indictment. He filed a complaint after discovering irregularities during the audit of the media company owned by the municipal company Győr-Szol Zrt. The company, previously estimated to employ 30-40 people, actually employed 93, with contracts linked to relatives and friends of Fidesz municipal representatives. Pintér claims the company was financed through a housing savings fund managed by its parent company, receiving loans totaling 345 million HUF from Győr-Szol last year.
