Money is rapidly accumulating in TBSZ accounts, discounts are piling up (x)
The amount of money in long-term investment accounts (TBSZ) has increased by nearly 25% over the past year, significantly outpacing domestic securities growth. As of June, the market value of assets in TBSZ accounts reached 8,854 billion HUF, with over 620,000 accounts opened, reflecting a surge in popularity due to tax exemptions. Financial institutions are offering various incentives to attract investors, including fee waivers and discounts on trading costs. The TBSZ accounts are favored for their long-term benefits, allowing investors to avoid taxes after five years. Several banks, including K&H and Erste, are promoting TBSZ accounts with attractive offers and reduced fees, making them appealing for both individual and institutional investors.
