The case of hundreds of infants stranded in the hospital may be handled under the leadership of Szilvia Gyurkó.
Gyurkó Szilvia leads a new advisory board addressing the situation of infants and young children stuck in hospitals in Hungary. The board includes representatives from various ministries and organizations focused on child welfare. Currently, 301 children are in hospitals due to their parents not being able to take them home. The board's role is to coordinate efforts across health, child protection, and social services to find solutions for these children. An ongoing national review aims to identify barriers preventing children from returning to family care. The first official meeting is scheduled for next week.
