Szilvia Gyurkó leads the professional body managing the situation of children left in hospitals
Gyurkó Szilvia leads a new advisory board addressing the situation of children left in hospitals, as announced in the Hungarian Gazette. The board includes representatives from various ministries and organizations focused on child welfare. Its main tasks involve assessing factors preventing children's return to families or foster care and proposing measures for their timely placement. Currently, 301 children remain in hospitals due to their parents not taking them home. Recent amendments to child protection laws aim to expedite the assessment and planning process for these children, ensuring their welfare is prioritized.
