Housing: Government understands "Portuguese citizens who suffer anguish" and blames "immobility and inertia" on the PS

The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs expressed the government's understanding of the distress faced by Portuguese citizens regarding housing issues, attributing the situation to the inertia of previous PS governments. He urged citizens to trust the current PSD/CDS-PP government, which took office in April 2024, claiming that their measures will yield results over time. Abreu Amorim criticized the previous administrations for the significant rise in housing prices and emphasized the need for constitutional adherence in democratic processes. He asserted that the current government is implementing the most substantial housing response in 30 years, focusing on increasing supply and mobilizing existing assets.
